“These good caddy liners are okay but we do find they get very moist even if we change them almost daily. Not something we’ve noticed with other brands. Perhaps they are more porous than others meaning the damp food waste seeps through to the bin underneath. They do the job though and are ethical so will probably continue using”
Hi Becky, here are a few tips for our bin liners which might help you
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Shelf life of 12 months (will then start to naturally break down)
- Avoid coming into contact with: hot liquids, grease/oil, wool/animal products, dust
- Do not overfill, remember they are liners (not sacks)
- Change your liner more frequently if coming into contact with food waste, particularly meat products: as these start to rot, they cause the liners to decompose faster
- Keep your bin in a cool, dry place to help prolong the life of the liners
Also it might help if a lot of wet products are going in the bin to put a kitchen towel at the bottom to help soak up the moisture, but stick with them as they are great when you get used to them.
“The bin bags are really good - although they appear thin, they are very strong. I have been using them for about 4 months now and I haven't had any rip or break (with the exception of 1 (which I scratched with a sharp stick by accident ♀️). I love that they are made from plants and contain no plastic at all. Can't recommend enough!”
“The compositble bin bags are the perfect size for my bin, which is surprisingly hard to find sizes for. Plus, being white, I can differentiate them from the green food waste bags.”
