We recommend to rinse under water and give them a little massage before use to soften up, the sponges will become more soft upon continued use with washing up liquid. They will also soften up with usage so the longer you use it for, the softer and more malleable it gets. You can speed this up by popping it into the washing machine or dishwasher a few times.
“I was so happy to find non-plastic sponges! I've been using my Seep sponge for a couple of weeks now and it's great. Works just as well as the plastic ones, if not better! The only criticism I have is that the scourer part has separated slightly from the sponge part. But it's holding together so it should be fine. And I'd rather that than go back to plastic!”
