“These sponges are meant to last longer than regular ones but our first one lasted less than a week before it broke in half. Not sure I would buy these again.”
We are sorry to hear this. We have pretty good quality control for all of our products and check each batch that goes out of our factories but unfortunately, some not-quite-right products do occasionally slip through. We track these product issues and work with our factories to improve them the next time. Often they arise because we're using natural materials which are more difficult to work with. Did you contact us at hello@theseepcompany.com where we could sort this out for you.
“I love the idea but the execution isn't there. Id been looking to buy these for months and eventually got around to it. I've no idea under what circumstances these are supposed to last a month. Within a week of use the sponge is losing bits and separating from the tougher side. As much as I want to use kind of product for it's environmental benefits, water etc. I dont think I can keep spending £20+ on something the will likely only last a couple months when it's supposed to last a year.”
Sorry that this has been your experience with them as they are a great sponge scourer. Did you get in contact with us at hello@theseepcompany.com so that we could help fix the issue.
“I don't know how my first Seep sponge landed in the drawer, but it was so brilliant I ordered a big box of them. I have been doing the family dishes for decades, and the Seep is far and away the best sponge for the job, right size, right shape - fits our storage containers perfectly - and longer lasting than the usual foam plastic variety. On top of that, once they are worn out they can go in the organic recycling bin or compost bin.”
“These are a great eco-friendly alternative to those cheap non eco-friendly scourers / wash pads that you wish you never bought because they are so bad for the environment and last a week. I'm still using my first seep sponge and that's after 6 weeks of daily use at the kitchen sink!”
