“I really want to reduce my plastic usage and do all I can for the environment so was very excited to see these sponges on Facebook. Unfortunately they are not fit for purpose. They are fine for lightly soiled dishes but cannot cope with pans without hours of soaking. Also, I drink black tea and coffee and am having to scrub cups for a long time to remove tea/coffee rings. I will continue using the sponges as I bought a years supply but, unfortunately, will have to use plastic sponge scourers alongside. Will not be buying any more”
Hello Sally, We are delighted that you have given us a try, sorry our products didn't measure up this time. If you could email us at hello@theseepcompany.com, we'll sort this out for you. In the meantime, here is a little more about our sponges. They are 100% plastic-free, and do go through quality control. The sponges are made from loofah, wood pulp and are stitched together by a natural cotton thread. For heavier soiled dishes/pans we do run our copper scourers or bamboo brush alongside.
“The sponge side works OK, but the "scourer" side is proving to be absolutely useless. The attached photo shows its condition after just ONE washing-up session, on pans that weren't particularly dirty to start with. Very unhappy, since I now have eleven more remaining. You should really offer these in smaller quantities, so new customers like me can try them out first.”
