Very impressed with these sponges, they take a few days to soften up but they last a long time and do the job well. Will be purchasing again.

Arrived quickly and well packaged. Sponges were a bit stiff at first but quickly softened and washed ok but stained a bit. Removes most 'stuck on' food but needs more effort than my other ones. Hard to get into corners and smaller items -- tea stains at the bottom of a mug were a problem. Overall it is a worthy product but I'm concerned about airmiles as it is manufactured in China. Hopefully that can be changed in future.

Thanks so much for the review Kathryn, we hear your feedback on the tea stains. Just to put your mind at ease, we don't fly our products due to the carbon footprint, and instead use sea freight (or land if closer to home) and then 3x offset our carbon footprint with our reforestation charity partners On A Mission.

These are much better than I hoped. I am surprised some people don’t find them flexible enough, as they soften really quickly and I wash glasses with them with no problem. I have dishwashed my first one twice, and then cut it in half to use under the toilet rims before finally throwing it in the compost bin. I am a convert and won’t go back to the plastic ones.

Thanks so much for your review :-) We love that they are used first for your sink and then get relegated to the toilet.

These washing up sponges have revolutionised my attitude to washing up. I actually enjoy the experience now. They feel really comfortable in my arthritic hands, efficiently removing food from plates and dishes. Being compostable is a big bonus.

A friend gave me one seep washing up sponge/loofah. At first I thought it was little stiff as that was the problem I had with many of the loofah products, but after a couple of days it really softened up and goes into most of the cups and glasses as well as around the sauceman rims. It also lasts a lot longer and doesn't go smelly like the sponge scourers. Have been using it over a month so decided to buy a years supply and see how it goes. Haven't tried putting it in the washing machine yet. Litte bits of sponge do come off but its still going strong. Its good to get rid of the plastic with something that works. Have also found a bamboo brush with replaceable screw head. Its hard getting back to how it was with pre plastic as all the firms stopped making stuff when sales dropped off so it all needs to build up again.

I started using these a month ago, I am still using the first sponge in the pack and it is still in prefect condition, even though I've put it through the dishwasher several times. It cleans my non-stick pans brilliantly and doesn't leave scratches or marks and it's flexible enough to fit into small glasses and cups. It still smells and looks fresh and looks neat sitting next to the sink.

I purchased the oblong-shaped pot scourers because I thought the idea of compostable material was excellent. The only gripe for me is that they are not very flexible like the standard pot scourers and sponges. They work fine on flat surfaces but if I tried to use them to clean the inside of glasses, I suspect the glass would shatter. In this respect, I don't find them very comfortable to use, because I have arthritis in my hands. A worthy product however.

Lovely to find a plastic free sponge, with one surface tough enough for stubborn stains. Feels nice to use, very absorbent, & a bonus to know it can be popped into washing machine to freshen up. Almost looking forward to being able to chop it up, to add more variety to my compost - but only when it’s finished kitchen duty
