“Gloves fit really well but although I have followed the care instructions the material has ripped and degraded after barely any time. I don’t play to any great or professional standard and the gloves should relax last longer than they have. I play for 40 mins once a week and the material should do better.
I would a replacement pair sent to me after paying so much for these.”
Hi Dan,
Unfortunately that is the reality of latex, it can't be avoided 😢 It's entirely possible to buy two of the exact same pair and see one last last longer than the other. There are so many variables at play that can impact wear & tear but these gloves have a tonne of life in them. Latex is a soft organic material and can begin to wear from the very first use, depending on how you land, wash them etc... It might look jarring, but it is completely normal and they'll perform until there is physically no latex left. Gloves should be viewed as consumables with a minimum of 3-4 pairs a season expected if they use a high quality latex (it has to be soft to grip). The Wave also uses an aqua latex so requires more dampening than typical to activate and keep its elasticity (dry latex = brittle = wear down quicker).
Hope that helps explain!
