Hi Elizabeth! Our apologies if this wasn't seen, it is displayed at both cart and checkout but perhaps Apple Pay being so automated/quick it made it difficult. Something for us to look at for sure. I have also checked our records and can see your email in January was responded to on the 19th January by our support team, explaining that ShipAid is optional and only there to help speed up/skip any claim or investigation process in the event your order goes missing or stolen :) Our support rep offered to refund this no problem so I would recommend checking your junk/spam just in case.

“You shouldn’t need to pay extra to ensure your parcel arrives or sort out issues if it doesn’t! Absolutely shocking practice but also one that makes you think you need to have it to be protected. If you feel strongly about providing this extra service then perhaps adding a small amount onto each product and offering it “free” would be beneficial”
