Hi Jim,
These feet are made from a tough rubber, offering gentle protection for delicate floors. They’re ideal for furniture that doesn’t move around too much, as the rubber material provides limited grip and clipping force.
It’s important to note that these protector feet are specifically designed to fit our legs, matching their profile and bend radius precisely. If used with other leg types, they may not grip securely—or at all.
If you’re using them on our legs and finding them a nuisance, we may have a better option. We also offer a rigid plastic version that clips firmly into place and stays on, even if the furniture is dragged.
Feel free to drop us an email if that sounds like a better fit—we’d be happy to help.
“I wanted to stop the harsh noise my stool with hairpin legs made on my tiled floor. Unfortunately, the protectors would not stay on the legs, so I had to glue them on. Due to the hardness of the material they are made of, they still made a noise. I have now put on felt pads, and this seems to work.
If the protectors were made of a more flexible material I think they would be better in this instance.”
Hi Janet,
Sorry about this. These feet are explicitly designed to fit our hairpin legs. Suitability on other legs does depend on how close they match our design. Hairpins can come in different shapes, and specifically, if the bend radius is different, they may not hold on too well.
If they are really not suitable, they can be sent back to us for a refund no problem.
