“We bought the cake as we had two vegans visiting. Usually as a non vegan I find there is something not quite right about bought vegan baking, often an odd after taste. The lemon meringue cake was a revelation: a moist, tasty cake, lemony curd and delicious buttercream that didn’t give away the fact it was all plant based. I was dubious about it getting through the post intact but it was so well packaged it hadn’t moved. Easy ordering and quick delivery. Well done Sponge! I am already eying up the Cherry Bakewell one for Easter”

“I ordered a vegan lemon meringue sponge and it was the most delicious cake I’ve ever eaten. The filling was soft and lemony and very moreish! The only downside was it was delivered by Amazon and left on its side outside my house even through it was obvious the box needed to be stored in particular way. Had I not retrieved it within 20 mins of delivery I do think the cake could have been ruined. Thankfully it was ok. Definitely recommend this cake but perhaps not the delivery option of Amazon!”
