“Put this top through its paces for a week in Florida with pretty extreme humidity. I did most of my running early or before sunrise but it was still a sweatfest and the top performed well. It’s ridiculously lightweight, comfortable, doesn’t stick and dries very quickly. I’ve also used it for some summer speed sessions in the UK too but it really thrives in tougher environments.”
“A fantastic shirt. This has been my go to for the past year. I wear it every day. Concerned about a $200 shirt. It replaces a whole week's worth of $50 shirts. Just hand wash in a bowl with grangers base wash every night and it will be dry by the morning.
The pros:
- The shirt is incredibly lightweight. I think that my jianji shirts are at least double the weight (68g vs 140g)
- It holds no water. Even when soaked, the shirt still weighs less than jianji (120g)
- It doesn't stick to the skin. the texture of the fabric and the loose fit means the shirts doesn't stick. This is great in humid environments (AKA Florida and DC)
- It dries out super quick. A combination of the lightweight, texture, and black color means it dries out incredibly fast. That means you can get it soaking wet at a water fountain and it will cool you down without being miserable
The cons
- The black color can absorb heat, especially when standing still. I wouldn't recommend this shirt for hot+dry unless you can find a way to keep it a little wet
- The shirt is loose and can catch wind if running into a headwind
Overall this is the best running shirt ever made!”
