“Fantastic piece of kit. Use it all the time in Wellington, NZ - windiest major city in the world. It doesn’t get too cold out on the trails - but it does get windy and wet, and this Gilet does the trick. It was lightly raining today as I went out for a trail run and I chose the Gilet over a jacket because I was going to be more comfortable, wouldn’t overheat and wouldn’t have the rain/wind cut through me. I’ve used this throughout Winter and now into Spring. Definitely recommend.”
“Having come from a cycling background, I've always appreciated the secret weapon that is a gillet! Small enough to pack anywhere, and 9 times out of 10, more than enough coverage when the going gets rough! I hadn't really thought about the benefits of one for running, but after being caught out in a particular chilly morning's run, I decided to invest in one! Happy to say that it was one of my better decisions, the gillet is a super lightweight, lovely textured item which hardly seems like you're wearing it when on. Apart from the fact that you've got a great storage pocket for phone, gloves, buff once the temperature rises a little! Highly recommended!”
“I have both winter gilet and this ultra gilet which works in spring/summer and during light rain. Just perfect. Having a gilet helps you to complete your adventure/run/walk or whatever. This is also extremely light-weight. Have in black and green/mint. Highly recommend.”
“Before buying this I questioned the worth of a gilet for running. Not now. Its my most worn top layer across Autumn, Winter, and Spring. When its cool and/or windy the wind protection helps keep your core warm. In light rain/showers, (particularly on warmer damp days), its much better than overheating in a full jacket. The pocket is super handy on longer runs and the quality is top notch (mine is a year old and still looks and functions like new - it helps that I've found it needs washing much less than a rain jacket). Plus if the sun comes out and it warms up it is super lightweight and easy to just roll up and carry.”
“The Ultra Lightweight Gilet changed my layering approach for winter 23/24. With the often windy weather we have had it has been great to keep the wind and cold off the torso whilst leaving arms free to move and let some heat escape with a short sleeve tee or base layer.”
