Black Mud Soap contains 100% pure Dead Sea Mud. The mineral-rich marine mud balances the skin’s pH and is suitable for problem skin, sensitive skin or skin intolerant to regular soap. It is fragrance free and does not contain SLS or animal fats. Used as a regular soap on the face and body, it lathers into a foam to naturally clean and refresh the skin, without drying the skin.

“I have been a fan of this product for years and it has always been a dark black blue colour. I recently bought this and saddly it is now a completely different soap. It is a light brown grey colour and clearly not “Black mud” black mud as a product is always black and does not vary in colour as suggested by this website. The makeup of ingredients in the soap are now very different from the original product, and there are no % of how much of each is in the actual soap. My skin is really feeling it and not in a good way, it’s breaking out and getting very dry when I use the soap. I have also noticed that using the soap on my face seems to have effected my eye sight barely. I use the soap on my face as I have done for many years but recently I noticed that it made my eye sight blurry, I stopped using it for a while to test the theory that it was due to the soap and as I suspected my eye sight got better, I once again tried using the soap and once again it really effected my eye sight. I would not recomend this product and if you are after the original amazing black soap then saddly this is no longer the same item.”

Hi Julia, Thank you for your feedback. Our Black Mud Soap is made using mud from the Dead Sea. As it's 100% natural, the appearance can change based on the conditions leading up to and at the point of harvest. The appearance of your Black Mud Soap can vary from black to grey, to brown. Rest assured the formula has not changed at all, so I am sorry you are now finding issues with your eyes, we do advise you to rinse well if any of it gets into your eyes and by all means please look for an alternative that suits you and your skin better.
