“A few words on the following shorts as well as their previous version.
Allow me to start out by saying that I have been wearing boardshorts since the mid eighties and due to my location and lifestyle, i spend more that half of the year living in them. This is to say that when it comes to boardshorts, I've used a few and have a good understanding of what I like and why.
I purchased my first two Riz shorts in 2012, loved and wore them to bits.
Then I purchased these and anothe Buckler a year ago and have spent a fair amount of days (actually months on end) in them.
They have surfed, dived, swam, ran, climbed and lived every scenario imaginable.
There is absolutely no debating that Riz shorts are pieces of functional elegance. The style, cut and construction are second to none.
They will last you a damn long time (no matter what you do in them), all the while keeping looking utterly "gentleman surfer".
Last but not least, I've pestered Riz for a few years to make shorts with stretch in the fabric. I can now publicly take that request back.
The shorts are so well cut and thought out that one is much better off with the durability offered by a non stretch fabric.
