I am most disappointed in the TreeView programme. From your description of the TreeView product I was not made aware that some key elements of it are ONLY available as part of a subscription to The Genealogist. As a very experienced genealogist I am not happy to input hours of data only to find that I must continually have a subscription to use this piece of software to it’s fullest. In fact I have this option on Ancestry so I don’t need another similar product. I was hoping to ‘ buy British’ & get a simple programme to support my research to replace my very out of date American programme however I will now have to purchase the upgrade on my current format & have wasted £30 trying yours. I shall not be recommending you, sorry

I'm sorry to hear you're unhappy with this. Please be assured that you don't need a subscription to TheGenealogist to be able to use the TreeView software, you would only need a free account with TheGenealogist if you wanted to sync your tree online - however, this sync is optional and you can keep all the information on your own computer if you prefer. Please could you contact me so I can try to resolve any problems you are having? Best Regards, Fiona

The online magazine is a gem and very helpful as is the guidebook which us fascinating. I have other programmes that I find are complicated but Treeview I am finding very easy than all of them. It doesnt seem as complicated and I am using every day.

Why pay a subscription to hold the results of your geneological research when this software is available? App integration is good (though does require an internet connection to allow editing). Not tried the free 4 month subscription for The Genealogist yet to check the integration. In all, while not the flashiest and most advanced software, it more than does the job.

I have successfully imported a gedcom of my Family Tree into Treeview and the program looks relatively easy to use. I also have Treeview on my iPad and my mobile phone. I have not used the program very much yet.

I see for Roots Magic and Family Historian you offer "Getting the Most from.....books. As a relic of pre pre pre pre digital days I look forward to a similar work for TreeView users. I have a feeling that the slower wider view of the program will be more digestible than the so called "Quick Start Guide" currently provided. I have been a satisfied customer of S @ N for a number of years and look forward to the relationship continuing.

Just purchased TreeView 2 for my iMac. It is An excellent product and so easy to use and very well priced. The tree is well displayed and very flexible. I have combined both family lines of myself and my wife and particularly like the ability to display as little or as much of the tree that you need to concentrate upon when working. I like the inbuilt link to The Geneoligist which has in fact revealed the details of some ancestors that I could not find on Ancestry.

I bought TreeView V2., and installed it but then noticed it didn't say version 2 on the box. A quick email sorted it out and now I'm up & running with my family tree.
