These classical, upmarket, equestrian-style long boots made with the finest Italian leather by a family business in Spain, are available in black, navy and dark brown. They are both beautiful to look at and superbly comfortable to wear. They are carefully constructed with a 3.5cm heel nailed on for added security and a reinforced heel and toe counter to ensure the secure fit of your foot in 4360. A central seam runs neatly down the centre back and front of the boot with a zip fastening down the length of the inside of the leg. Alongside this, an elasticated segment is sewn discreetly into the top of the shaft to provide flexibility of fit around the calf. The polished leather vamp flows smoothly up the foot from the long round toe. On the outer shaft of 4360, a subtle logo is embossed into the leather. The heel counter is defined by a strip of leather that curves up and around the heel, starting beside the zip and fastened to the outside of the boot by a small pewter button. This design is repeated on a smaller scale at the top of the shaft below the back of the knee. These two small buttons decorating the outside of the boot are tasteful and add just that hint of visual interest to a boot which in every respect, speaks for itself. Who we are and how is it that we came to be so passionate about shoes?
Like many classics our story revolves around one or two ambitious pioneers, a love affair, war, a family drama, conflict and its resolution. What laces this story together is a connection with the land, and a need to provide for the people of it.
Let’s set the scene of how our business was born. It’s 1905 and Thomas Rogerson sits concentrating over his tools in a shed at the end of a bridge in Rothbury. Motivated by the desire to win the hand of Isabelle, he needs to learn a trade. And so it was that he learnt to repair shepherd’s boots.
Skip forward over 100 years from this humble beginning, and here we are; from robust, carefully crafted tackety boots designed to tackle the heather hilltops, to on-trend trainers in a spectrum of colours, designed to tackle the concrete jungle! Originally sold under canvas at agricultural shows, by mail order or taken directly to farms. Now, displayed using bright light boxes in our high street stores, or sold via easy on-line orders that will arrive at your door.

Made using traditional and progressive manufacturing techniques and a wide range of materials from Gore-Tex to vegetable tanned leathers, our selection is diverse. Ranging from fun, quirky, edgy and joyful designs, to sophisticated classics, to practical waterproof adventure shoes and boots for enjoying the hills.
Different from other footwear retailers in terms of the breadth of our range, we stock many styles that are unique to our business, including colour combinations, prints and lasts. Prioritising pricing, quality and comfort we work on the principle that well-made shoes wear better, are more of a pleasure to wear, and ultimately, are less wasteful.

With weekly training on everything from leather, construction techniques and technical features, our staff aim to facilitate a friendly and efficient shopping experience and will go out of their way to bring you all the shoes you fancy trying on! Alternatively, one of our 120 strong team of keen beans will carefully parcel them up for your online orders. We dispatch from both our central warehouse in the pretty town of Peebles, and from our 13 busy stores across Scotland.
