This flattering, feminine sandal has an upper constructed from a comfortable covered heel-cup in combination with three spine-ridged straps that sweep across the feet. The first of these wraps across the toes followed by the second two which are attached to either side of the heel counter and flow around the ankle where they cross over each other and descend towards the sole. While these straps hold your feet securely in position, flexibility is maintained by two small elasticated sections at the ankle. Making for an exceptionally comfortable fit these sandals have a soft, spongy, leather-lined foot bed that creates a comfortable cushion underfoot. This particular style is available in navy (v20), Cerise Pink (v72), Black (v10) and a Soft Taupe (v40); these 4 colours come in a velvety Suede. In a smooth leather finish; a Pure White (v50), along with a Metallic Gold (v90) and a Lustrous Rose-Metal (v70) provide you with all the options you need to get through the Summer. Who we are and how is it that we came to be so passionate about shoes?
Like many classics our story revolves around one or two ambitious pioneers, a love affair, war, a family drama, conflict and its resolution. What laces this story together is a connection with the land, and a need to provide for the people of it.
Let’s set the scene of how our business was born. It’s 1905 and Thomas Rogerson sits concentrating over his tools in a shed at the end of a bridge in Rothbury. Motivated by the desire to win the hand of Isabelle, he needs to learn a trade. And so it was that he learnt to repair shepherd’s boots.
Skip forward over 100 years from this humble beginning, and here we are; from robust, carefully crafted tackety boots designed to tackle the heather hilltops, to on-trend trainers in a spectrum of colours, designed to tackle the concrete jungle! Originally sold under canvas at agricultural shows, by mail order or taken directly to farms. Now, displayed using bright light boxes in our high street stores, or sold via easy on-line orders that will arrive at your door.

Made using traditional and progressive manufacturing techniques and a wide range of materials from Gore-Tex to vegetable tanned leathers, our selection is diverse. Ranging from fun, quirky, edgy and joyful designs, to sophisticated classics, to practical waterproof adventure shoes and boots for enjoying the hills.
Different from other footwear retailers in terms of the breadth of our range, we stock many styles that are unique to our business, including colour combinations, prints and lasts. Prioritising pricing, quality and comfort we work on the principle that well-made shoes wear better, are more of a pleasure to wear, and ultimately, are less wasteful.

With weekly training on everything from leather, construction techniques and technical features, our staff aim to facilitate a friendly and efficient shopping experience and will go out of their way to bring you all the shoes you fancy trying on! Alternatively, one of our 120 strong team of keen beans will carefully parcel them up for your online orders. We dispatch from both our central warehouse in the pretty town of Peebles, and from our 13 busy stores across Scotland.
