There is so much to say about this popular long boot available in black, burgundy, green, dark grey and Tan. 93655 is a regular fit with a thick woolly textile lining that creates a snug environment for your feet. A large-toothed zip runs down the outside of the leg, with a more discreet zip running down the inside of the boot for fastening. These unite the large stretch of synthetic leather that forms the shaft and wraps around the leg to meet the vamp, sides and heel of the boot. This creates a slightly vintage-country-cowgirl effect which is further emphasised by two small sections of tan leather pinned down with studs that decorate the outside of 93655. Add to this the step-down effect created by the shaft sitting higher up the leg at the front than at the back and studs that pin down a section of leather to the heel. The 4.5cm heel on this boot creates an attractive shape and together with the weather-resistant RiekerTex incorporated into the upper will keep your feet dry and out of the puddles. The sole is made from lightweight TPE and has a dark, rustic effect. Who we are and how is it that we came to be so passionate about shoes?
Like many classics our story revolves around one or two ambitious pioneers, a love affair, war, a family drama, conflict and its resolution. What laces this story together is a connection with the land, and a need to provide for the people of it.
Let’s set the scene of how our business was born. It’s 1905 and Thomas Rogerson sits concentrating over his tools in a shed at the end of a bridge in Rothbury. Motivated by the desire to win the hand of Isabelle, he needs to learn a trade. And so it was that he learnt to repair shepherd’s boots.
Skip forward over 100 years from this humble beginning, and here we are; from robust, carefully crafted tackety boots designed to tackle the heather hilltops, to on-trend trainers in a spectrum of colours, designed to tackle the concrete jungle! Originally sold under canvas at agricultural shows, by mail order or taken directly to farms. Now, displayed using bright light boxes in our high street stores, or sold via easy on-line orders that will arrive at your door.

Made using traditional and progressive manufacturing techniques and a wide range of materials from Gore-Tex to vegetable tanned leathers, our selection is diverse. Ranging from fun, quirky, edgy and joyful designs, to sophisticated classics, to practical waterproof adventure shoes and boots for enjoying the hills.
Different from other footwear retailers in terms of the breadth of our range, we stock many styles that are unique to our business, including colour combinations, prints and lasts. Prioritising pricing, quality and comfort we work on the principle that well-made shoes wear better, are more of a pleasure to wear, and ultimately, are less wasteful.

With weekly training on everything from leather, construction techniques and technical features, our staff aim to facilitate a friendly and efficient shopping experience and will go out of their way to bring you all the shoes you fancy trying on! Alternatively, one of our 120 strong team of keen beans will carefully parcel them up for your online orders. We dispatch from both our central warehouse in the pretty town of Peebles, and from our 13 busy stores across Scotland.
