Designed for active, outdoor wear, Grisport 11106 is a robust walking shoe with a nubuck leather and water resistant GriTex upper, available in navy (n176g), taupe (n177g) and dark grey (n193g). Fitting securely and comfortably to your feet, Grisport 11106 has an adjustable lace fastening with four looped and one hooked eyelet which extend up towards the top of the vamp, pulling the side-shafts in to hug and support your feet. With a high reinforced heel counter that extends up and along the side shafts towards the lace, 11106 holds your feet securely in position. Facilitating a comfortable fit is additional padding incorporated into the tongue and top-line of the upper, together with a spongy, removable insole. This can be replaced with an orthotic if necessary. 11106 has a robust 4cm PU sole unit with an effective tread designed to tackle rough and uneven terrain. The sole licks up the toe of the boot - which curves to facilitate the natural forward rolling motion of your walk - and in so doing forms a protective toe-cap. Furthermore, the sole is moulded over the upper, forming a water and air-tight seal and hence a more durable and flexible construction. Who we are and how is it that we came to be so passionate about shoes?
Like many classics our story revolves around one or two ambitious pioneers, a love affair, war, a family drama, conflict and its resolution. What laces this story together is a connection with the land, and a need to provide for the people of it.
Let’s set the scene of how our business was born. It’s 1905 and Thomas Rogerson sits concentrating over his tools in a shed at the end of a bridge in Rothbury. Motivated by the desire to win the hand of Isabelle, he needs to learn a trade. And so it was that he learnt to repair shepherd’s boots.
Skip forward over 100 years from this humble beginning, and here we are; from robust, carefully crafted tackety boots designed to tackle the heather hilltops, to on-trend trainers in a spectrum of colours, designed to tackle the concrete jungle! Originally sold under canvas at agricultural shows, by mail order or taken directly to farms. Now, displayed using bright light boxes in our high street stores, or sold via easy on-line orders that will arrive at your door.

Our mission now is to stock a vibrant and compelling choice of shoes, boots, sandals, slippers and bags. Made using traditional and progressive manufacturing techniques and a wide range of materials from Gore-Tex to vegetable tanned leathers, our selection is diverse. Ranging from fun, quirky, edgy and joyful designs, to sophisticated classics, to practical waterproof adventure shoes and boots for enjoying the hills.
Different from other footwear retailers in terms of the breadth of our range, we stock many styles that are unique to our business, including colour combinations, prints and lasts. Prioritising pricing, quality and comfort we work on the principle that well-made shoes wear better, are more of a pleasure to wear, and ultimately, are less wasteful.

The Rogerson’s ethos is one of positivity, and we aim to employ happy people who enjoy their work and convey this in their attitude to others. With weekly training on everything from leather, construction techniques and technical features, our staff aim to facilitate a friendly and efficient shopping experience and will go out of their way to bring you all the shoes you fancy trying on! Alternatively, one of our 120 strong team of keen beans will carefully parcel them up for your online orders. We dispatch from both our central warehouse in the pretty town of Peebles, and from our 13 busy stores across Scotland.
