Laura Vita’s Alizee are bold statement high heel ankle boots that arouse gasps and squeals of delight just looking at them. These handmade French boots will be the focal point of your outfit and have the advantage of being unique each season. This Autumn/Winter’s Alizee range includes a stunning combination of textures, colours, fabrics and prints, with each boot having features that make it stand out from the rest. Alizee has a 6cm heel with textile incorporated into the wood-effect finish. The heel is separated from the upper by a strip of rubber that moves up from the sole and moves around the boot, following its contours. Coloured thread is incorporated into the upper edge of the sole at the toe. The uppers of Alizee are made from a combination of leather, printed leather, synthetic leather and other textiles. The upper of Alizee 06-v70 is a delicious ruby-wine colour with an embossed abstract print incorporated into the vamp. A silver, pink and orange threaded suede covers the toe, heel and sections of the outside of the boot. It has a zip fastening and effective contrast coloured stitching. Alizee 07-v10 and 07-v60 are available in black or red respectively. Running up the vamp from the toe is a botanical-imprinted leather with a bright floral-print textile in Autumnal colours wrapping around the ankle and down the heel. A decorative bronze buckle is fastened to the outside of the boot at the ankle with a zip fastening down the inside. Alizee 41-v10 has a retro eighties blue-brown-black print on the upper of the toe with a black and purple snake-skin effect on the heel. A striking triangle of black and silver patterned textile runs down the outside of the boot at the ankle. A neat leather tag emerges from this, fastened to the upper by a bronze stud. This boot has a zip fastening. The inner linings of these boots are as beautiful as the outers, combining burgundy leather with a soft tartan fabric. There are few words that can be used to sum up this fashionable range of boots, but STUNNING goes some way to doing them justice. Who we are and how is it that we came to be so passionate about shoes?
Like many classics our story revolves around one or two ambitious pioneers, a love affair, war, a family drama, conflict and its resolution. What laces this story together is a connection with the land, and a need to provide for the people of it.
Let’s set the scene of how our business was born. It’s 1905 and Thomas Rogerson sits concentrating over his tools in a shed at the end of a bridge in Rothbury. Motivated by the desire to win the hand of Isabelle, he needs to learn a trade. And so it was that he learnt to repair shepherd’s boots.
Skip forward over 100 years from this humble beginning, and here we are; from robust, carefully crafted tackety boots designed to tackle the heather hilltops, to on-trend trainers in a spectrum of colours, designed to tackle the concrete jungle! Originally sold under canvas at agricultural shows, by mail order or taken directly to farms. Now, displayed using bright light boxes in our high street stores, or sold via easy on-line orders that will arrive at your door.

Ranging from fun, quirky, edgy and joyful designs, to sophisticated classics, to practical waterproof adventure shoes and boots for enjoying the hills.
Different from other footwear retailers in terms of the breadth of our range, we stock many styles that are unique to our business, including colour combinations, prints and lasts. Prioritising pricing, quality and comfort we work on the principle that well-made shoes wear better, are more of a pleasure to wear, and ultimately, are less wasteful.

The Rogerson’s ethos is one of positivity, and we aim to employ happy people who enjoy their work and convey this in their attitude to others. With weekly training on everything from leather, construction techniques and technical features, our staff aim to facilitate a friendly and efficient shopping experience and will go out of their way to bring you all the shoes you fancy trying on! Alternatively, one of our 120 strong team of keen beans will carefully parcel them up for your online orders. We dispatch from both our central warehouse in the pretty town of Peebles, and from our 13 busy stores across Scotland.
