This boat is utter cack, bluntly. The as described in the manual "lubricate regularly" is unachievable via the norm due to the flex shaft needing to be pushed through the boat, rather than the opposite procedure- decoupling the motor end & pulling the shaft out of the spindle tube. You can attempt to try it with the top & bottom parts of the boat screwed & connected but this results in no space to safely remove/push the flex shaft in. Meaning you will have to split the boat top & bottom to create the space to access the flex shaft & carry out important maintenance to keep the little thing at peak performance. I couldn't on mine, the screw needed to be removed through the rudder is just spinning & will not pull out, without risking snapping the rudder mount. Don't call ftx for any advice either!!
They are clueless, or don't wish to tell you how long & pointless lubrication will be.
So all in all, the boat will run 5 times before being used as a child's bath toy at best. If I could give it 0 stars I would've. The Vortex is a great, well priced boat, buy that instead.
