“I bought the FTX Carnage for my 7 yr old grandson, as his father and I both have the brushless version. To get him interested in the RC community, which it has done to great effect, he is loving his experience and it is teaching him about driving and maintaining his car. He is into drifting it around a local area where we take him to learn. He can now assemble his car himself ready to run and knows how to charge his battery. For the money you can't beat this truck. Its ready to run out of the box and my 6 y/o son loves it ( with my supervision)
Just add some batteries to the controller and you are off.
I did upgrade and get some Lipo batteries and am glad I did, the 1800mAh battery which comes with the truck was perfect to get him used to it but it runs out quickly. The 3800mAh Lipo Plazma batteries also from RC Geeks are just the ticket. They give loads of power and get the truck pulling wheelies and last about 20 mins.
All round to get started in the world of RC cars this is the one, it tears through the grass on my local green field and as yet nothing has fallen off or broken.”
