“This is a great choice for newcomers to RC cars. The kit comes pre-assembled and apart from some AA batteries for the controller, you're ready to go out of the box. The car is splash proof meaning it copes well with pretty deep puddles and has a variable speed setting so younger ones aren't intimidated by the speed. This also helps limit damage for the inevitable crashes! The car is tough, though. My son uses it on a local skate park (at quiet times!) and this vehicle has fallen off ramps several times with no significant damage. Often it'll land on its wheels, which is a bonus too!
We got the extra sized battery pack, which is great, however it doesn't sit so well in the battery well as it is too big, however it is easily held in place by the supplied strapping within the car itself.
