“I bought this for my six year old son - we do not have ideal grounds for RC vehicles but the Outlaw is really good at handling short grass, bumpy lawn and dirt. We have had a lot of fun building a ‘track’ with lumps and a small jump. I already had a quick charger and would recommend getting one along with a spare battery. This is a lot of buggy for the money and the service we have had has been great. Thoroughly recommended- five stars.”
“I have purchased this product a week ago. As a beginner I was happy with the speed and power, it is easy to use and fun to drive. Despite that, the provided battery is extremely small, I got max 10 mins of use. Moreover, as a beginner I broke the bumper so I ordered a replacement for that part.
Since then, I have been using the rc car with more care (no jumps, not hits, just flat fields) and for some reason the plastic parts are starting to break down one by one. It feels like it has been stored in non ideal conditions that now make the plastic parts to break down easily with even regular use.
This is not a durable product at all, just a plastic toy. Seems like they put a motor on a plastic toy aimed for children. For 125 pounds I would expect something that could endure regular use. The fixing costs are adding up quite fast. Extremely disappointed !! Would not recommend.”

“After looking online for a Radio controlled car for my 7 year old daughter (and me obviously) that we could take across the nearby field and off road, I came across the FTX outlaw a few times. So I then looked at the you tube videos and the reviews which all seemed good.
I decided that for the price it seemed to have everything we wanted. I decided to go for the brushed version as some of the reviews I saw said that for a youngster or novice the brushless motor version is hard to control (although you can upgrade the motor in the brushed version to a brushless at a later stage if you want).
Initial impression when it arrived was that it is much bigger than I thought it would be, but it looks great. Charged the batteries (comes with 1x 1800 nimh battery) and I ordered an extra Lipo battery too. Drove it to the end of the road, got to the park and the nimh battery died (charger fault, but swiftly sorted by RC Geeks). Put Lipo battery in and went for a drive. It is so quick, and tackles the field with no problems at all, daughter loves it and so do I, (and all the other friends of hers who have also had a go on it). We have had the car a few weeks now and we love it, fast, durable (been upside down a few times, bashed into things etc, and it takes it all in its stride).
My advice if buying one is do it but also buy 1 or 2 Lipo batteries if you want longer than 10 mins of play using the standard battery, oh and don't forget the 8x AA batteries you will need for the receiver. We love it so much we have recommended it to 3 of our friends already.”
