Decent little car to start of with fairly quick and easy to control, could be built a bit stronger as first time I used it a driveshaft popped out on flat ground
“Likes: rugged construction, 4X4, excellent value, good speed, fantastic range, good looks and adjustability.
Dislikes: low capacity stock battery, steering/tracking a bit 'floppy' but this is being picky so I will probably upgrade these components.”
“Lovely looking car at what appears to be a great price, but it breaks very easily. Within 30 seconds of use the front shock tower had broken. The replacement part costs 1/10th of the total cost of the car which makes it an expensive long term proposition if this is going to be a repeated failure... Very disappointed to learn that this is a rebranded Himoto known to have weak shock towers.”
“First off, it's important to say that the delivery and service from RC-Geeks is and always has been brilliant, always consistent, timely and helpful when there's been an issue in the past, so the one star is not about the service or staff at all because that gets 5 stars.
Now for the bad bit. I bought this for my 10 year old son as his first introduction to Hobby grade RC, a bit extra power and speed but not too much too soon. My son opened this for Xmas and was really excited and happy until he played with it the first time. Everything went well for the first few minutes until he made a small ramp out of a brick and a bit of hardboard and when the car landed after it's first jump the left front wheel fell off because two of the mounting points had just sheered clean off, understandably a few tears followed, poor lad was gutted. So now I'm sat here at 2am on Boxing day looking for an upgrade and writing this review.
All the other reviews on here are good for this model so maybe we just got a lemon, but this was our experience so we thought we should share it. I've been recommended the "BSD Racing 1/10 4WD Flux Desert Assault V2 Buggy" and the "Arrma Typhon Mega V3 Brushed 1/8 4WD Buggy" by my RC enthusiast friend, he seems to think they have much better build quality and are well worth the extra £££ for the durability, so once again it's time for Dad to get the wallet out.”
“It's a crimbo present. Had a quick blast with it and it seems great. Everything was there and it looked shiny and nice. Was delivered quickly and was packed well. Now it's all wrapped up under the tree”
