“My daughter found the Easter maths courses very useful. She said the teaching was clear and the pace was good. I was really impressed with the Google Classroom and the fact the sessions were recorded.”

Hi Victoria, Thank you for your feedback regarding your daughter's experience on our maths course. We're sorry to hear that she wasn’t satisfied with the course. I have checked the register and there was a large range of abilities on this particular course which isn’t often the case. This means that the pace won’t suit all students, I’m sorry your daughter found it too slow. Our courses are mixed ability but we currently advertise them as suitable for students predicted A*-C to try and ensure the pace is suitable for as many students as possible. We will discuss this criteria with our tutors at the end of this academic year to see if this should be changed. On some dates we put on more than one course and stream the groups which helps to ensure the pace works for as many students as possible. However, this isn’t possible for us to do for every course date.
Regarding the teacher giving the wrong answer, although the odd mistake is human nature, we would hope that any error would be resolved as efficiently as possible and would be fixed before multiple students have to challenge it. I am glad to hear the correction was confirmed the next day but I do appreciate that this could have been done sooner.
