“Really great pump for the price! I have only used it twice so far but so far so good! The suction is great and managed to get 4oz off in about 15 minutes. Like any pump that says it’s silent, it definitely isn’t, but that doesn’t bother me as just using it at home. Would definitely recommend!”
“I really struggled with electric breast pumps when I was feeding my eldest. I would be hooked up to an electric pump for longer than 30mins and get less than an ounce but with a manual I would get 3oz in 10mins. Now my 2nd child is here I wanted to find a way to pump without being glued to the sofa. This pump popped up on my insta stories so I thought why not it's only £45. It's the best decision I've made, I was able to play with my 2 year old whilst pumping and expressed 4oz in 10mins! I'm really impressed with this pump. Just a little tip: if you've not got particularly large boobs make sure you're wearing a bra which unhooks to access your boobs. I found my cross over, pull to the side bra wasn't great at making me feel secure the pump wouldn't fall out.”
“Love this pump! My supply has dropped and as they say “pump pump pump” when trying to increase. I’ve never been successful pumping and get very little but I’ve been using this with my medala flex on the other boob and the pippeta gets more than my medala which was more than double the cost!!
Only thing that could be better is the battery life, I have to charge everyday (I’m pumping a lot at the moment) but that won’t stop me probably buying another so it makes pumping quicker!”
“First things first, buy this pump while it’s still an astoundingly low price!
I gave up BF very soon into having my baby because I couldn’t cope with the pain her tongue tie was causing and didn’t want to sit hooked up to a machine all day pumping. When my daughter turned 5 weeks and was beginning to get into more of a routine I decided to try to relactate as I was still producing small amounts of milk. To do this I needed to pump as well as nurse my daughter as much and for as long as possible.
I have a normal wired electric pump that I used for the first two weeks and managed to balance pumping, nursing and caring for a newborn but it was getting a bit much. I was interested in the Elvie Pump or the Willow but the prices are extortionate.
Pippeta came up in an instagram add (bloody cookies seeing my search history!) and I couldn’t be more grateful!
My pump arrived the day after I ordered. I’ve used it for the first time today and I was able to feed, change and bathe my baby all while pumping. Tomorrow I’m going to pump while out for a walk
I no longer feel like a cow hooked up to a milking machine and just feel like me!
Now, it’s not completely invisible and you can see that there’s something stuffed in your bra but it is so much less obvious than being hooked up to the usual electric pumps.
The suction is decent as well, I got the same amount from the Pippeta pump as I usually get from my wired pump.
Overall, really impressed and my savings are grateful too!”
“Having tried the Elvie I was getting really frustrated that due to the plastic Breast shield it wasn’t staying in place and I was hardly getting any milk out of it due to the shield moving.
This came up on my Instagram as a suggestion and thought for £45 it was worth a try - absolutely worth the try. This pump is an absolute game changer and is SO much better than the Elvie.
Positives are:
-Price - this is a given
-Silicone breast shield means it really does stay in place in your bra (I’ve been wearing the New Look Bralette nursing bras, and the pump fits perfectly and securely - no movement at all) - I’ve been able to pump whilst cooking, cuddling my baby and even on car journeys
- I’ve been getting the same amount of milk as when I tried the Medala swing - it takes me 2 to 3 pumps the get enough Milk for a 4oz bottle
-so easy to take apart, clean and assemble
- I love that it turns off automatically at the end of a pumping session and the little pouring hole to allow you to pour the milk into a bottle or freezer bag
- Quick delivery - I ordered the pump on a Monday night feed and it was with me for Wednesday morning
Only negative - and this is more down to me, than the product itself (so is something to be aware of) is you really need to make sure the shield is securely attached to the cup to collect the milk. There have been a couple of times I haven’t secured the seal as well as I should have and have experienced some leaks
5* Definitely worth the investment!”
“Absolutely love it! Lightweight with good suction, I get as much using it as I do with my standard electric pump. Best bit is being hands free so I can get on with other things and still express, will be ordering a second one when they come back in stock!”
“I’m due my second baby in 3 weeks and already have an 18mo so I wanted to make sure if I needed to pump I would have a convenient hands free pump!
I have tried a fair few pumps in my feeding journey with my first and this pump has all the advantages that my medala and silicon pumps didn’t have and none of the disadvantages!
I also decided that I was going to try and harvest some colostrum. I used the pump function (rather than the massage function) and managed in 5 minutes on both breasts to get 8mLs which is amazing!
The pump is an extremely reasonable price of £45 which when you look at other pumps on the market is amazing! I definitely didn’t think I’d be able to afford a hands free pump!
It is so so easy to use, clean, dissemble and assemble.
I love the fact that it is silicone so it feels a lot more secure on your breast.”
“I’m due to go back to work as a nurse in March and have EBF so far. I’ve been so worried about finding time to pump at work, and going hands-free is a great solution! With the Elvie costing £240, I thought a hands-free pump was well out of my reach... until a friend recommended the Pippeta. I ordered during a late night feed on Monday, and it arrived on Wednesday! So quick. The pump is really comfy to wear and I haven’t had any leaks so far. It’s easy to take apart and piece together and looks nice too, not garish. The only downside is that it isn’t AS effective at getting milk off as my other pump. But it still does a good enough job for me!”
