“The electric part of the pumps barely stays on the pumps, a lot of the time I have to hold it on to be able to use them, it's very frustrating considering they're meant to be convenient. They are also very loud.”
Hi Dominika
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re really sorry to hear that you’ve experienced issues with your pump.
We’ve checked our system and unfortunately we can’t see that you’ve reached out to us regarding the problems mentioned. We’d really like the opportunity to help resolve this for you. The pump should not come loose during use, and it definitely shouldn’t be causing frustration.
If you could please get in touch with our customer care team, we’d be more than happy to investigate this properly and provide a solution. Your experience matters to us and we’d love the chance to make it right.
Warm wishes,
The Pippeta Team
Hi there,
Thank you for your feedback and we're really sorry to hear that you’ve experienced an issue with one of your motors. While we work hard to ensure the highest quality, unfortunately, manufacturer faults can occasionally occur and are not always completely avoidable.
We’ve already asked you to raise a warranty claim so that we can look into this urgently and get things resolved for you as quickly as possible. We’re here to help and want to make sure you’re fully supported.
Thanks
The Pippeta Team
“Very fiddly to put together, especially the pump into the plastic cup. You basically have to force it. There's no click or indication that it's in properly and during pumping I find i have to squeeze it back into position repeatedly to get full suction. That being said when it finally is in position it does work well, but with some leakage out the bottom direct from the nipple.”
“Had high hopes that upgrading to a hands free electric pump from a hand pump would save me time and effort while exclusively express feeding. Unfortunately it's all been a little underwhelming, whether that's true for all electric pumps or just the Pippeta, I can't be sure, but it's put me off spending anymore money on them to find out.
Firstly the instructions recommend just sitting back and relaxing while using this pump. Don't lean forward, or splash the milk too much, else it will leak onto the pump motor and break. I don't know about other busy mums but I invested in hands free so that I can continue my day without having to stop for 20 minutes to pump...if im supposed to not do anything, I might as well continue hand expressing.
One of the LED units is ill-fitting and it's a struggle to get it to fit onto the cup, I'm assuming it's a manufacturing fault that's made it ever so slightly the wrong size but it annoys the life out of me before I've even started pumping. The other LED unit has a battery fault whereby it states its fully charged but after wearing for just 1 minute its back down to 2 bars, this one also takes a longer time to charge. The timer isn't reliable either and i cant figure out if one is fast or the other slow! It's also quite fiddly to wash, sterilise and put back together, I know other (more expensive) brands have minimal parts that have to be taken apart and assembled but every piece on these pumps has to fit just-so making it pretty time consuming. Finally there's a fair amount of milk wasted, trapped in all the parts when it comes to pouring it out and is overall a fairly messy experience.”
“I'm back postpartum to leave another review as I had a positive experience when using the breast massage option on the pump for colostrum harvesting at 37 weeks. This pump has enabled me to build a good supply by 5 days post birth, the sound is quiet, it has parts that are easy to set up. On the whole, a purchase I am very happy with however I just wish the battery life was a little more powerful as I've tried to power pump but the battery life doesn't last as long.”
“I really like this breast pump. I have the medela swing maxi too and as much as it’s a good pump I hated being stuck on the couch or in bed while pumping. I love that this is hands free. I get a decent amount of milk from a 20 minute pump. It’s comfortable and easy to clean. Quick to charge and lasts a while. I do think it’s pretty noisy though and definitely couldn’t wear it while out and about but it’s still a good pump.”
