We’re sorry to hear the iron didn’t sit well with you. Here's a couple of things you could try if you're still willing to: Iron is best absorbed on an empty stomach, but for some, that could be harsh. You could try taking it with a small meal. Avoid taking it with coffee/tea/dairy though, as those may block absorption.
Boosting your fiber and fluids may also help to keep things moving. If it continues to be uncomfortable though, we completely understand your decision to stop. Your wellbeing always comes first.
