The pocket sized Timeless Monthly Planner is my favorite calendar I've ever had. Everything is just perfectly spaced that, as long as I abbreviate, even my big-ass chicken scratch fits and is legible. And having a full calendar in my pocket is perfect for the way I work.
As someone who loves the texture, weight, and smell of leather, I loved my grand voyager from the second I took it out of the packaging. I've only had it for about a few weeks so I can't say anything about what's it'll be like after months or years of use, but sometimes I'll just pick it up and hold it in my off hand or give it a sniff, even when I don't have anything to write.
The journals are simple, reliable, and you don't have to buy the refills. It's easy to find small notebooks of whatever paper type or price range you prefer, but the journals themselves will motivate you to pull out your notebooks more. The quality makes what you have to write feel important and you'll just want to have it in your hands more. Not to mention just how cool and important you'll feel walking around with this fancy piece of kit. And we all need to feel cool and important sometimes.
All that said, this is definitely something I'd recommend as a gift. Be it a gift to yourself or to a loved one, the journals are meant to last a life time and I personally believe that things like that are best saved to mark milestones or the beginning of a new chapter in life.
On a less sentimental note, I was honestly a bit worried because I saw Paper Republic advertised on Instagram. The first and last product I bought after seeing on Instagram, a wallet, was conveniently "lost in the mail" after I was forced to pay for "package protection" and shipping. It turned out that said company had a history of their products "getting lost in the mail" and then making it impossible to get into contact or get a refund. This whole disaster had my opinion of all companies that advertised on Instagram very, very low even if they seemed legit. I was very hesitant to spend so much money on a similarly sized item, but there were no issues with shipping to Canada.
I say all this on the off chance that someone else might have similar experiences and reservations. Most of the reviews on this website are a little under-detailed for such an expensive purchase. Especially with so many 3 to 5 stars and very few negative reviews. But there really isn't that much to complain about. If you give it proper thought and consideration before choosing what you want, you'll love what you get.
Oh, speaking of thoughtful consideration, one thing I wish I knew before buying is that the customization options are insane if you're willing to pay extra. You can have the perfect journal made with truly professional craftmanship. Crazy expensive, but cool if you can afford that.”

“I've had this journal for a little over three months, and it is by far one of the best things I own. I take it with me everywhere and I love the options of paper refills for when I've filled up the three notebooks I have in there now. It's also been able to fit a moleskin brand notebook that I'd already been using. It's just the perfect product for writers who want to keep their notes organized and have access to it easily.
