“This is a handy tool but the chain tool component for removing and replacing a chain link pin is not very good. I have not tried the master pin usage of the tool but expect it to be OK.
However removing a chain link pin is a pain but installing a new pin, which according to he documentation provided with the tool is a feature , is not possible as you can’t fit the chain in with a new link pin in to the chain tool. If you manually pushed the pin in further it may fit but sort of defeats the purpose of having a tool to do this.
I suspect the tool is just for breaking the chain only - even though the documentation says you can also install a new pin.
I would not recommend buying the tool for this feature is important you (ie the chain link pin removal and install).”
