“Chair is light, looks good and the straps also work as good arm rests but the parts where your legs hang off is too short and your weight is too concentrated just over the stitched edge where it digs in a fair bit. I’m 5. 7” and 70kg. Compared to the 50$ mountain design chair honestly would rather save the money next time”
“Great chair, stronger than the competition with a lot less flimsy plastic parts.
I have found a couple of issues, the mesh seat is quite slippery and the leg length is quite short, meaning less support under the thighs, even if you're average height.
Otherwise a good all round camp chair more suited to touring than lightweight packing.”
“The Nemo Moonlight is truly the most comfortable chair I've ever owned or tested. During the summer, I would sit in it every day to read at the park or in my courtyard. It's been on multiple camping trips, festivals, and hiking excursions. I'm 5'3"", and my friends range from 6'2"" and all have said it's amazing to relax in.
The mechanics of the chair are robust. I never experienced sinking or sliding. The mesh seat is flexible enough to accommodate all shapes and sizes, and the ball joints are sturdy, allowing for easy movement.
Unfortunately, after 6 months of heavy use, the straps started to fail. This was due to grime, grease, and sand attaching to the thick straps, causing them to slip and no longer hold the upright (locked) position. I would pull the straps to the furthest downward position, but within 1-2 minutes, they would slide into the reclined mode.
I had a fairly easy return process, and OzBack offered some troubleshooting before I claimed the warranty. I washed the entire chair mesh (especially the straps) with Nikwax Tech Wash a few times, but the sliding persisted.
It's sad to see a product at this price point fall short so quickly. However, if Nemo ever released a chair without the reclining system, I would buy it in a heartbeat.”
“Very well made light chair, one of the best out there. A few problems for me is I don't like sitting practically on the ground and I'm a big guy 6'3 116+ KG which makes it a little squishy for me. But for normal size peeps it would be great - it's one of the few portable chairs that can recline as well.”
