Belize Play Top Parrot Cage Reviews

This wonderful Belize Parrot Cage with its play gym top section has everything you and your Parrot wants from a cage.
The play top area gives your Parrot ample room to play and exercise outside of their cage. There's a long wood perch for your Parrot to sit comfortably on and observe their surroundings, ladders to climb around on; promoting exercise, plus feeding dishes so your bird can always have easy access to food, fresh water or even fun to play with foot toys and materials.
The play top section has its own tray, which collects any mess your bird makes. To make your life easier it can be removed for cleaning. You may also choose to remove the tray whilst your Parrot is inside their cage to allow more light in.
Inside the Belize Cage is a large wood perch (starter perches only) which fits the full width of the cage.
Plus there are two more feeding bowls, fitted to swing-out doors making refilling them with delicious treats and fresh water a doddle. Don't forget that using foraging toys is a much more stimulating way to feed your Parrot.
The Belize Cage has both horizontal and vertical bars so your Parrot can easily climb around.
A large front door makes it easier for you to access the cage for getting your bird in and out, and for cleaning and maintenance.
The seed catchers help prevent food going outside of the cage and keep mess confined to the bottom of the cage instead, where a pull out tray and grille are fitted.
Once the door is closed, the lock keeps your bird safely inside their cage.
The cage sits on castors that make moving your Parrot's Belize Cage easy.
This cage weighs approximately 34kg.

I bought this cage in a sale last year for my Congo African Grey. Assembly was relatively straightforward and I managed to get everything set up by myself, although I imagine it would be easier and less time-consuming with somebody else to help. The cage is really large and comfortable, and my big CAG can spread her wings out fully from any point within the cage. The size was a huge factor in my decision to get this cage, and I'm more than satisfied with the size. It's fairly easy to clean as the trays slide out, although the large size can make navigating it a bit trickier for shorter people. The cage is pretty sturdy, but my grey has managed to bend various bars out of shape and has put a small dent in the seed tray at the bottom of the cage by continuing to yank at it. None of these have caused issues with the use of the cage, but it's worth considering if you have a larger or stronger parrot such as a cockatoo or macaw. Admittedly my grey is very destructive and generally angry (probably more so than usual as she's got a complicated history), but she could have caused more damage if she had a larger beak. This is worth considering if you have a particularly destructive bird with a strong beak. On a similar note, she has learned how to undo the bowl holder from the outside of the cage; these can be pulled out from the sides and a little latch holds them in place, but the latch itself is held down only by gravity so sneaky beaks could pretty easily unlock the bowl holder and then attempt to force their way through. This obviously wouldn't be such a concern for larger birds who wouldn't fit through the hole, but they could get caught or smaller birds may potentially be able to escape/break into the cage themselves if they are so inclined. Overall, this is a fantastic and sturdy cage which has so far stood the test of time and provided my parrot with a very spacious and interesting environment. It may not be suitable for particularly strong/large and destructive birds, although it has comfortably held an African grey who used to be hell bent on breaking it but has yet to cause any serious/dangerous damage.

Brought this in the Black Friday deals, as my parrots cage was starting to get rusty. I brought it because it had the play top trying to get my lazy parrot back out playing on top enjoying his boxes, as he had a dome shaped top before and kept losing his boxes, it’s nearly the same size as old cage and I arranged the inside similar to the old cage so he could be familiar with surroundings and not get scared (if you have an African grey you will know what I mean lol) great it has the seed catchers around the bottom to stop SOME of the mess haha . Cage came in 2 boxes in one delivery, was easy enough to put up, good quality, I'm happy and so is my Bobby. Would of liked another feeding door the other side but it’s not a problem. Northern parrots have been really great . Thank you ☺️

Nice cage with plenty of room for my grey, the only negative is the wheels. Two of the wheels on my cage have fallen apart i think better stronger wheels are a necessity for the size and weight of this particular cage.

I bought this for my blue and gold macaw. He chewed through multiple bars within 4 months. Bars are not steel and not suitable for macaws at all!

I am very pleased with the quality of this cage not to mention it is Huge! I bought it to house two Alexandine Parakeets and lets just say they are very happy with the upgrade to their living quarters. Strong design, a lovely play top, secure door bolts and latches, what more could an owner want. Thank you Northern Parrots for yet again another top quality purchase.
