King's Cages Aluminium Parrot Travel Cage - Large Reviews

5 Rating 2 Reviews
Read Northern Parrots Reviews

These carriers are ideal for vet visits, outings or any time your bird wants to travel!

This size is suitable for Macaws, large Cockatoos and similar size birds.

The aluminium frame is strong and lightweight and comes in 4 designer colours. Rather than powder-coated, these carriers are anodised, a process which changes the surface structure of the aluminium, making it harder wearing and able to absorb a dye into the metal.

Each side panel just slots together and the top panel holds everything in place.

Carry cage bars are satin silver, choice of 4 colours for frame.
No paint chipping or flaking - safe, strong anodising process outlasts any powder-coated cage
Guaranteed zinc and lead free, no sharp edges, weak welds or converging bars
Includes 1 perch and 2 top handles to make carrying easier
Slide out grille and tray with swivel lock
Large cage door for easy access with patented bird-proof lock
Hidden magnets so the door doesn`t rattle during transit
2 swing out feeders with locking cups (bowl holders are chrome plated)
Horizontal bars on cage sides, Vertical bars on front and back
Slots together in minutes without nuts and bolts
Lightweight - only 11Kg (24lbs)

We haven't used it yet but it slotted together easily and will hopefully act as a travel cage for our Amazon.

Where do I start? I am delighted with this cage, the quality of the panels is exceptionally good, it is easy to assemble and can easily be taken apart for storage, the door lock is cleverly designed and very secure, and the cage came packaged in such a way that damage in transit would be virtually impossible. The design is such that the cage is equally suitable for birds from Conure to Macaw size, with its generous dimensions and bar spacing of 5/8 inch. It easily accommodates my Amazon and Grey together and there is a dowling perch that can fit between the two carry handles so that the birds can sit outside the cage and spread their wings when you have a break in your travels. At 24lbs the cage is not a light-weight, but bearing in mind the size and quality it is far lighter than would be expected for a cage this size. To give an indication, as a middle-aged woman of average height and weight (and with mild lower back problems), I can manage to carry the cage (with birds and accessories inside) on my own.I cannot recommend this cage highly enough.
