The Aviator Parrot Harness – XSmall helps you teach your Parrot one of the most important skills of all, flying.

The Aviator Harness is safe and lightweight to allow flight. The lead is elasticated to prevent injury if your bird flies to the end of the lead.
This escape Proof Harness is made from a one-piece construction, with no buckles or clips for your bird to undo or break and has a wrist loop to help prevent you from dropping the lead.
With a slip-on design and easy adjustments your Aviator harness is easy fitting and has been lovingly hand-welded and made with fray resistant seams for comfort on your Parrot’s delicate skin.

“This is my second harness by Aviator i purchased a black one 3 years ago and so ive just bought a new one to have a change of colour. So easy to put on if you take the time to slowly introduce to your bird and reward them with lots of praise and treats. It took me about 3 days in total and watching a few YouTube videos from other parrot owners for tips. This is an absolute god send I take my Caique EVERYWHERE!! She has such an enriched life because she gets to see the world and make loads of new friends watch her in her harness on tiktok and YouTube Titch the Caique:) Thank you Aviator:)”

“Absolutely a nightmare to put on my bird. Even though my bird is very well trained and doesn't mind my struggle to put this on, the slightest movement by my bird will throw this device off kilter, it becomes entangled, the bird gets upset so they grab it and then you have to take it off and start all over again because the terrible design is utterly confusing. And that little tightening widget is so small and so flat it is nearly impossible to grip and slide with one hand. And that sliding center piece that goes over their head needs to be somehow secured because it always slides to one extremity making it impossible to recover from once half-on the bird. This thing is the WORST! Whoever designed this horrible device needs to go back to school.”

“In my life, I have been exposed to several poorly designed products. But never in it have I ever seen one as poorly designed as this. It's confusing, it loops within itself, and is impossible to harness my extremely well-behaved and docile conure with one hand, (the tightening mechanism requires two hands and if you're holding the bird with one, you clearly need a second person to tighten the strap). This product is mind-bogglingly infuriating to use. I'd give it a thums down but my hands are busy trying to get my entangled bird out of this piece of junk.”

“I bought this for my middle-aged caique. Its an ongoing project to get him to wear it, but progress is definitely being made! I had some concern re the sizing as the head piece is small and my birds neck is like a rugby players. However, both Northern Parrots and the manufacturer were very rapid in their response to my e-mailed concerns and offered help and advice - or replacement - if I preferred. But we are sticking with it!”

“I am really impressed by how this product is made. It is extremely well constructed and just the right size for my little Quaker.One thing I would say, though, is that the video that comes with it, although extremely informative, does not give a lot of detail about how to train smaller birds. I made the mistake of using the same technique shown on the video and had to hugely backtrack because my bird just was not ready for it.This product can be absolutely fantastic and give a bird lots of freedom BUT it is a really tough behaviour for a bird to learn and, as I have discovered, really important not to rush. Take the time to read as many online articles and watch as many GOOD videos as you can. The key for me is NEVER TO FORCE the bird, and if it takes a year to train the behaviour, then it takes a year. But I think a lot of birds are put off by the over-excitement of their owners and this prevents them from having the experiences they could have outside. It is definitely worth a buy, but only if both owner and bird take their time!”

“Very fiddly to put on a tiny baby quaker but we are managing! Found the hardest thing to be removing the head loop when taking it off because you have to go against the direction of feather growth - lifting it up over the head from under the chin seems to be the least stressful method.”
