Because birds can be intolerant of artificial pesticides, fertilisers and preservatives, Harrison's Bird Foods developed the first 100% Organic bird food, Harrison's Pepper Lifetime Coarse 1lb Organic Parrot Food.
The ingredients are premium whole grains and are approved for human consumption.
Harrison's Pepper Lifetime Coarse 1lb Organic Parrot Food is the standard Adult Lifetime formula with added spicy cayenne oil.
It is recommended as year round maintenance formula for healthy, non-breeding birds including Pionus, Amazons, Eclectus, large Cockatoos, large Macaws and other medium to large Parrots.
It can be used as as a flavourful treat or to aid in diet conversion.
If you're changing your bird's diet from a seed based one, then it is advised to complete a dietary program of High Potency (see product 583050) for a period of 6 months first.
We would recommend a veterinary health check prior to changing your bird's diet.
A bag of Harrison’s can be used within 12 weeks of opening.
This is as long as the food is kept dry, in the air tight bag with top tightly sealed. However as the food contains no artificial preservatives the pieces will eventually start to go stale.

“Trying to wean my parrot on to these, seem to like them but a bit rougher than the others he was on.”

“I used these to help convert my grey from a seed diet and she took to them very quickly. It was then easy to move the High potency which is recommended for greys.”

“Olls (ollie) Loves the pepper as a treat, he probably would like it all the time, but this I give him as a treat!”

“Converted my picky teenager from seeds to pellets in just under a fortnight. They looked boring, so I mixed some coloured pellets in with the seed as well to start with, only to find she left the more interesting looking stuff in favour of the, obviously, more tasty offering.Reduced the seeds to nothing very quickly.Occasionally she'll even reject a peanut in favour of a Harrison's pellet. Green beans are still tops though.”
