Read Northern Parrots Reviews

Because birds can be intolerant of artificial pesticides, fertilisers and preservatives, Harrison's Bird Foods have developed the first and only 100% Organic bird food.
The ingredients are premium whole grains and are approved for human consumption.
High Potency is recommended for…
Birds being converted from a seed-based diet. Birds being converted from any other diet. Feed for a period of at least 6 months before transitioning to Harrison’s Adult Lifetime.
African Greys, Large Macaws as a year-round diet, due to their increased nutritional requirements.
Birds that are moulting, overweight, underweight, very active, housed in a cold climate, recovering from illness, affected by liver or kidney disease.
Birds that are weaning – feed for at least 6-9 months.
Birds that are breeding – Ideally feed for 2 months prior to the breeding period and until chicks are weaned, or for at least 6 months before resuming Harrison’s Adult Lifetime.
We would recommend a veterinary health check prior to changing your bird's diet.

This has to be the best Pelleted product out there, and as we all should know these days the pellet diet is the best way to look after our birds. My African Grey absolutely loves this stuff, although he didnt take to it straight away, so dont give up if your converting your bird. There is one major flaw to this Product, and thats the Ridiculous Price! It is so very much more expensive than other brands. They know they're the best and so play on that fact!If your bids wellbeing and health is your number one concern then this is the brand for you! African Greys and Macaws should be on this.

Very expensive, which can be a off putting. The quality of the food is very good though. My parrots do eat it, but took some persuading.

I have tried to wean my grey 8 months onto this without success. She likes table food fresh fruit and veg Laffebers berrie and tidimix. i have tried eating them soaking them in juice and giving nothing but them for a week . All she did to start with was to break them up then she just ignored them. I know everyone says how good they are and I would love her to eat them but how?

My baby grey was weaned onto Kaytee Exact but I decided after much research that I wanted him onto a pellet that was fit for human consumption. The High Potency is best for Greys and I found that initially my grey wasnt interested however after making them softer and adding some juice (grape, apple or orange) he took to them quite readily and I'm happy knowing he's eating a product that is very healthy for him. It took me 3 days to wean, which I believe is very fast. A great product.

Moved my (new to us but approx 4yr old) parrott onto this following the recomendation of my local vet - has really helped her recover from a poor diet. Can't recommend it enough and it also makes feeding less hassle - you know your bird is getting all nutrients etc without resorting to supplements. No problems introducing this food either - my parrott took to it straight away.

I have purchased this product for about 9 years, as reviews have said how healthy it is. Although this food is a complete food, I still provide my African Grey with seeds, fruits and veg, as I think any of the same food could be come boring and like to provide him with variety. As I don't provide my parrot with this food alone, it is difficult to say if it's too expensive over seed and other food, however, I do feel that at ú30 a bag is seems pricey and the bird does waste a fair bit.

I am still weaning my African Grey onto this diet. Seems to be going successfully but needs persistance. My conscience tells me I should have changed her to this diet much sooner.
