Seeds are notoriously deficient in vitamins, and if your bird is fed a seed-only diet they are likely to be in less than perfect health.
For instance, Parrots with a love of sunflower seeds are especially prone to Vitamin A shortages. This may predispose them to infections, and cause other problems directly.

“I often worried that my african grey was missing out on vitamins due to his mainly seed diet and this product is brilliant. I put a few drops in water every other day and this way he is getting some of the goodness that he needs. I have put too much in before and because it has a slight odour and therefore wont be drank i only put a few drops in his bowl. This has done the trick and he has no idea that he is drinking the vitamins. Also gives me peace of mind.”
