Foraging Tower Mentally Stimulating Foraging Parrot Toy Reviews

Read Northern Parrots Reviews

In the wild Parrot spend many hours of their day searching for and finding their food. With this Foraging Tower Mentally Stimulating Parrot Toy you can use your Parrot's natural foraging instinct and encourage them to work for favoured foods, treats or materials.
Start the foraging fun straight away, place rewards (anything you know your Parrot loves to eat or play with) inside each of the four compartments. Then use the secure fitting quick link to attach the toy to their cage or play gym stand.
There are two foraging drawers and two foraging doors, each placed on a different side of the toy, so your bird has to move around or move and hold the toy whilst trying to retrieve their rewards.
The clear design makes it easy for your Parrot to see the rewards, and the durable polycarbonate is easy to clean.
The metal skewer can also be used to hold foods or toy parts more securely inside the foraging door sections, making it hard for your Parrot to gain the prize.
The knotted leather rope at the bottom gives your Parrot something to hold to steady the toy, plus it's fun to chew on.
Use this toy to channel your Parrot's foraging instincts again and again.

Two drawers are easy to slide but the non sliding ones are stiffer and sadly after about a week my african grey had a tantrum and broke one of the non sliders in his temper I think any normal A.Grey would enjoy this as it encourages natural foraging

My African grey has managed to break this within two days. The two drawer openings are suitable but the two windows with the slats were pulled out by a very frustrated parrot wanting a treat. The plastic is not strong enough and actually broke . Unfortunately I cannot see how to upload a photo of the damage. I will keep the tower but obviously the great toy I was expecting as now two functions are not available.

Charlie Farley found this very easy to uunderstand and use, and he REALLY likes the fact that he can make it bash about and make a mess. Really sturdy toy - trainer.

I couldn't disagree more with the above comments. Peter my Eclectus does not usually like foraging toys so I bought this with doubt in my mind. He will not leave it alone. As soon as I fill it with different treats, he is on it. I put his favorite treats in the harder to do sliding doors, they are pulled out and discarded to the floor. They do go back in with no problem. The only downside of this is the fact that if you put in say pomegranate seeds, it is hard to dry in the spaces where the drawers are when you wash it . I can even stuff shredded paper in it. Bottom line is I think this is well worth the price.

I was extremely disappointed with this foraging tower when I received it. The sliding doors become displaced and jam very easily. I could not move them myself, and would certainly not expect a bird to be able to. It would be impossible. The product had not been finished off to a very high standard, and there were sharp bits underneath, which could hurt a parrots delicate tongue. It is typical of the low quality and cheaply made Chinese products that are flooding our market these days and It is nowhere near the quality of most of the American and Canadian toys that are on the market. These are much better thought out and finished off with care. I had no hesitation in exchanging this product for the very good quality, Canadian manufactured, Zoo-max Hanging puzzle tower. The Zoo-max knocked spots off this inferior product.
