Its a simple tool for simple folk, dont think you can do everything with it, but what it does, it does well, and for me that was a sailing knife, that was easy to clip on, could deal with shackles, split pins and simple screws. The knife is a bonus, but as any sailor knows, a knife and lighter are good combo's but I have yet too see this...

Just received this as I've been wanting a no frills setup like this. Build quality is not as amazing as I'd hoped from Leather man, I was expecting straight out of the box silky smooth action but especially folding out the pliers is a real janky effort. I'm hoping greasing pivot points etc will make use easier! Also, multi tool store included a free double sided sharpening stone, where one side is 150 and the other side is 240. Both incredibly coarse grits almost completely useless unless reshaping the blade profile or something.. they could have included a much more sensible stone

They say the best knife you have is the one you have with you and its true iv got several leathermans and this is totally the best cause its so light and easy to carry so I always have it with me and its used so much more than my others

Great tool, this is my second - only minor complaints the pocket clip on this one, when removed the thumb screw isnt flush (it is on earlier models) very stiff but i guess will loosen with use
