“Received my Manticore on Monday 6/23/25. Much too hot here in Central New York to detect it’s in the mid to high 90’s. The Manticore arrived in good shape no visible damage to UPS box. All items seem to be in good shape. Charging now. The only item missing is a printed color manual. I’ve had a few Norkta detectors and the even ones for hundreds less had a nice printed color manual. I feel Minelab should have included a nice color manual with the Manticore and not leave it up to the customer to print it out. Other than the manual issue all seems to be fine and can’t wait to try it out when it cools down a bit. All communication with Daniel at Modern Metal Detectors were answered within a 24hr.period.”
“So far so good with the Manticore. Seriously not impressed by the change in coil mounts. Looks insanely flimsy. The headphones are horrific. The reviews for the headphones make me nervous. Dampness will short them out. Wires hanging out of the sides waiting to be ripped out. This machine was designed for a walk in the park. It's for hunters. Minelab is always a cheap build. The tech is great. Popped a gold today. Had it for 2 days. Beaches are still dead, but I wanted to drowned it to see if it was as not waterproof as the 800.
So far so good. I didn't realize the profind 40 was as bad as the carrot with having to hold the button in or settings get changed. I should have gotten the 35.
Free stuff is basic junk. No name bag. Gloves are too small. Scoop will catch change and rings, if you're 3' tall. The better bundle is the Minelab 15, 8 and machine bundle for $1900. If I had to do it again, I would have gone that way. Now I am buying the 15 with the $20 discount voucher for leaving this survey.
Called the location, phone didn't work. Only reviews on google are bad. I was nervous. But everything arrived perfectly. Machine is functioning fine. Minelab confirmed they are a dealer. Works for me. Only regret is not getting the coil bundle. Free, isn't free.”
