I tried this Miles tea a few years back when seeing it on a supermarket shelf that it was produced by a firm in my own county of Somerset..and was hooked ! It has a good vigorous flavour without being too 'malty'....which some teas can be.. Great taste.

I first discovered Miles tea during a business trip to Falmouth and as a result for the past few years my preference has see-sawed between ‘West Country Original’ and ‘Smugglers Gold’. As a confirmed (Builders) tea drinker I tend to brew my cuppa to an industrial strength hence my choice between these two wonderful Miles blends. Both of these teas provide a beautifully strong flavoursome cup of tea but if I were to be asked to choose between them I think West Country Original would win by just a whisker. Compared with the regular popular blended teaI I drank in the past both these Miles teas have proved to be a revelation.

The best tea ever - leave it to brew a little while and though it looks a good strong cuppa it’s never ‘stewed’

I hadn't drunk tea for nearly 30 years. I bought West Country Original, purely by chance, when a tea drinking friend came to stay. They loved it, so I thought I'd try it and haven't looked back. I tend to let it brew for at least 5 mins, and barely threaten the mug with milk, but I really enjoy the flavour and the complete absence of tannin bitterness.
