“I do believe that this is my favourite tea of all. You can just throw a teaspoon of leaves into a cup and stir a couple of times and then wait for a minute or two - no, longer actually, it does take a little more time to brew than the others - for a really tasty brew. I even chew the leaves that are left in the bottom of the cup instead of having a biscuit - or two. So good for the diet.”
“I love this tea for a quick brew when I just throw some tea leaves in a cup and add boiling water without the need for an infuser. Am always amazed by how large the hydrated tea leaves become which I end up chewing on to prolong the pleasure.”
“This is my second order of Assam large leaf. Initially I was putting the tea leaves in an infuser and it was coming out on the weak side (suitable for late night tea). Latterly I have simply been putting a heaped teaspoon straight into my tea cup and stirring it around for a bit and it is absolutely gorgeous - strong and tasty early morning tea. Also brilliant in a tea pot with visitors. I am astonished how much tea appears to be left in the cup/pot when it is totally hydrated and how large the tea leaves are. They are even tasty to chew after the tea is finished! I would avoid putting this tea into an infuser as there is not enough room for the leaves to expand and diffuse their taste.”
“Already a convert to Assam regular loose tea I thought I would try this. The tea didn't seem quite so strong or malty using large leaf but nonetheless it is a good start the day tea. I certainly feel like it's nice to try something different but will probably re-order the standard Assam.”
