“A good, nice, well balanced bold and sturdy brew. Ideal at breakfast or as an afternoon pick-me-up its tannins are balanced by depth, warmth and a hint of the piquant you usually only find on higher quality orthodox teas. I found that, for my palate, it does require the addition of milk to really bring out the flavour, and can be a bit too rough and intense on its own. Equally care needs to be taken not to over brew it as it can become too harsh. however, when brewed properly, its a lovely warm hug in a mug.”
