“It would be helpful if the website explained that this only really works if your hatch is just a hatch. If you want to install this on a hatch which has an integrated ladder i.e. there's something fixed to the upper side of the hatch, the pillow can only be installed by cutting it and then stapling down the areas which have been cut. It's mentioned that the sides of the pillow will pop upwards out of the way when closing, but we find they just get stuck and prevent the hatch from closing unless you squeeze them out of the way.”
“It is a good product but not ideally suited to a hatch where the ladder retracts into the loft space. It can be manoeuvred into place but it is almost impossible to ensure there are no gaps created as the hatch closes and the ladder pushes the pillow up.”
