“When I first heard the album, in 1978, I was 32 and just right for it; It was (and still is) an awesome piece of work. When, recently, my daughter told me that she had arranged a surprise for my upcoming birthday (you do the maths), my head buzzed with anticipation. The only thing that I could think of, bearing in mind her knowledge of what I liked, was that possibly Kate Bush was performing at a secret gig that only my daughter knew about; I quickly dismissed that as too fantastic. When, unable to keep the secret any longer, my daughter started providing clues, I realised that it was to do with WOTW, although I was then totally unaware of the Immersive Experience; my daugher, and my son, were virtually brought up on the album. We went yesterday and were blown out of our socks! From the outset, with the décor in the restaurant - very Victorian, even down to the faux copper pipes with elbows that had been connected to the state-of-the-art hand-drier in the unisex loo - everything was perfect. The various scenes which we encountered, some requiring a greater degree of nimbleness than others, were superb. Some involved the use of AR head sets, others stage sets but not stagey, were spot-on. The music wasn't messed around, the whole thing was both Immersive and a real Experience. ULLA! What a great birthday present!”
“Having been a fan of Jeff Wayne's TWoTW since the album release in 1978 and seen most of the concerts the immersive experience was a great addition to the franchise. The food was surprisingly good and all the staff and actors really engaging, even with one of our party (not our family i add) intent on manically laughing at everything and every interaction. Super experience. Would certainly recommend to TWoTW fans and others alike.”
