“These boots are lovely, apart from one issue. I find the tongue constantly twists round when I wear them, no matter how I lace them up. The tongue then digs into my upper foot and ankle, as it is twisting round and moving to the inside of the boot. I wish that the tongue had a slot/tab so you can thread the laces through, to prevent twisting of the tongue (like many walking boots have). Apart from that they are amazing, such high quality leather and the brick colour is stunning - I’ve received many compliments about them. If the tongue issue was fixed I’d wear them far more often and they’d be 5/5 stars for me.”
“Love them! They were really comfortable straight away. I didn't break them in properly but only had slight rubbing on one heel from wearing them to fast-walk 30 mins the first time I wore them out, and after having them on all day at the office. They feel so nice and sturdy, and cocoon my feet and ankles. I didn't size up but they fit perfectly. Beautiful boots. So glad that after a year and a half of eyeing them up I went for it. Got a cheaper version last year as I was reluctant to spend more, but it was a false economy and they have now gone to a charity shop.”
“Bought the Whalley Redbrick Grained boots via my daughter who lives in Kent. I usually take a size 5, but on reading all the reviews, decided on getting a 5.5. I could probably have taken the 5 though, but I wear them with thicker socks and they are just fine. They are everything I dreamed they would be.I have my friends here in South Africa suitably envious of my beautiful boots. Thank you Lanx”
