“Look of the leather is good, the sole has good grip on most surfaces and the laces grip nicely. But the leather itself is just a bit too stiff and cuts into the flesh a liitle just above my calceus bone (yep, I had to llok it up!) Consequently I have to loosen the laces in the top three holes, or bend my foot upwards when tying them up. I may be slighly biased because I am comparring them with my American made Justin workboots that I bought about 18 years ago. They are 3" higher, have been re-soled five times, worn a lot and the leather is just more flexible but still tough. One boot is matt brown--covered in macademia nut oil in Australia 12 years ago-- but they have been really comfortable and have stood up to endless work in all weathers. Maybe my Taskers will soften up a bit over time, but thenm at 74 they had better not take too long..!”
“It's difficult to find something to say that hasn't already been said many times but these really are excellent boots. I waited a while before writing this review as I wanted to try them out properly first but they have not dissapointed. Beautifully made with quality materials, first class workmanship, and attention to detail that makes them stand out from the rest. Comfortable from day one........ propper boots”
