The boots are a bit heavier than i imagned but none the worse for it......akin to a pair of Timberlands i would say. Took the advice and have been wearing them with a heavier sock for short periods of time and they seem to be breaking in nicely with no discomfort

“This is the second pair of LANX boots which I have bought. Some time ago I bought the Tasker boots from LANX which although great boots did take a few uses to wear in properly, the Settle boots on the other hand were comfortable straight away and actually they barely had to be worn in at all. They have a pretty versatile look and I can use them for casual and slightly more formal stuff all the same. They have taken a beating through a Danish winter, going many miles through salt and snow covered streets and still look almost as good as new. Also the soles are pretty quiet to walk with compared to other similar boots I have had which is nice. Very good work from those at LANX and I will no doubt buy again.”
