The roll top pack carries enough for a day out, or for the daily commute. Two external side pockets for drinks bottles/flasks. Water resistant lining is a plus.
The hard wearing base is a plus against stony ground. Seatbelt shoulder straps will see the next century in, perhaps a bit of padding would be a benefit. Maybe a waist belt too? All depends on how much you would or could stuff inside the pack!
