“When the boots first arrived, I was surprised at the colour. I was expecting a burgundy colour but they were a dark brown. They looked great anyway so no big deal. On the site, it was advised to go a size or a half down. Ordered a half size down and the fit was fairly snug/ pinching a little. Used my old football boot trick with some thick socks, dubbin and a hair dryer and now the fit is great.
Previously purchased Loake and Oliver Sweeney boots and I have to say the quality is up there with both of these. Would definately purchase again.”
“Very dissatisfied. I received delivery of a pair of boots and after breaking them in over a period of a couple of days it became clear that the two boots looked very different (see picture). When I asked LANX what could be done about this, they said it "wasn't their fault" and didn't offer a solution, but did offer me 3 pairs of socks......not sure how that would help me walking about in two different looking boots....
I then contacted them a month or so later explaining that one of the boots had developed a squeak with every step taken. Again, they had no interest in sorting the issue and referred me on to a separate leather care company.
Would never buy from LANX again and very sorry I didn't go with the Dubarry alternative.”
